We take care to protect Episcopal parishes to the utmost degree and have an extensive plan in place. You can read about our reinsurance plan here.

And, following on the heels of the enormous positive response to Safeguarding God's Children, Church Pension Group (CPG), in conjunction with Praesidium Religious Services, has developed an online version of the training program, as well as updated adult-to-adult exploitation and harassment prevention training materials. The details are covered in Sexual Misconduct Training Update.

How Church Insurance's Reinsurance Plan Protects Parishes

Church Insurance estimates that every 100 years, one or more of its insured churches will deal with an event that creates losses of at least $40 million. That boils down to a 20 percent chance of this kind of devastating event every 20 years. Church Insurance has prepared for large amounts of possible loss with an extensive reinsurance plan and a catastrophic treaty that includes reinsurance from various reinsurers. Spreading the risk is key to protecting Episcopal churches and their members.

Sexual Misconduct Training Update: New Online Training and Adult-to-adult Program Added

Far-flung diocese populations, time constraints, the ability to reach a larger group: A number of factors prompted CPG to develop an online version of Safeguarding God's Children, which is scheduled to launch at the beginning of next month. Also in the pipeline for spring are updates to adult-to-adult exploitation and harassment prevention training.

Due to the popularity and effectiveness of Safeguarding God's Children, Church Pension Group will be launching several new misconduct prevention programs in the coming year.
